Taiwan Seedless lemon
Season: More commonly available from July to March of the following year.
Origin: Jiuru, Pingtung
Features: The fruit is rounder, with thin skin and delicate flesh. It has less acidity compared to year-round lemons and contains more juice.
Specifications:
- Slices: (Round cut) Φ4050(±1)mm x D 34mm
- Chunks: (Sun-moon cut) 1/8
Selection Tips:
- Shine: Choose lemons with a shiny skin, as they are fresher and juicier. Lemons with dull skin have been stored for longer.
- Color: The best lemons are yellow-green. You can also check the lemon’s stem; green indicates freshness.
- Firmness: Fresh lemons should be slightly soft and elastic. If the lemon feels hard and dry, it is not fresh.
- Weight: Compare two lemons of similar size by holding them. The heavier one will generally be juicier.
- Aroma: A stronger aroma indicates a better lemon. Gently scrape the tip of the lemon to release its fragrance.
Recommendation: Buy Small Mouth Fruits' frozen seedless lemons so you can enjoy them anytime you want!
After bringing lemons home, if you store them in a well-ventilated, cool place, such as in a fruit basket on the dining table, they can be kept at room temperature for 5-7 days. Alternatively, if you ensure the lemon's skin is dry, you can place it in a plastic bag, seal it tightly, and store it in the refrigerator, where it can be kept for 1-2 weeks.
